Dome, a Japanese small volume manufacturer, put together a spaceframe Celica to compete in endurance races around the world in 1980. With a highly strung 18R-G (560hp claimed) it had frequent engine troubles causing DNF finishes at three of its four entered events (Sebring 12hr / Riverside 5hr / Suzuka 1000km). It also failed to qualify at Le Mans, so its results were dismal. It is however a wild-looking and interesting machine. Of interest here at Pine are the Hayashi 16" centrelock three piece wheels with aero covers
